Avatar: The Legend of Korra - Book 1: Air is the first season of the American animated television series The Legend of Korra, created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Brian Konitzko. It follows seventeen-year-old Korra of the Southern Water Tribe and the successor to Avatar Aang from the previous series Avatar: The Last Airbender. The main focus of the season is Korra's efforts to learn airbending from Tenzin while defending Republic City from the Equalist rebellion, led by the Masked Amon.
